DC-VET WB has been designed to tackle some key challenges of VET systems in Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina and Kosovo in the sectors of Information Technology (IT), electronics and automation with the aim to support VET schools more responsive to the market needs. The increasing globalisation, the digitalization of public and private services and Revolution of Industry 4.0 impose continuous updates on the workers competences. Vocational Training and Educational Institutes play a crucial role in equipping students with skills and knowledge that meet market demand.

The partners are working on several initiatives to:

1. Increase the quantity and quality of work-based learning (WBL) and activities in collaboration with companies, including WB teachers study visits and pilot activities;
2. Equip schools with tools to deal with the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities (special educational needs; cultural obstacles; gender equality), thanks to a specific seminar on social inclusion and toolkit;
3. Improve the internationalisation strategies of VET schools in Western Balkans, through an e-learning on internationalisation and blended mobilities;
